Account preview

Understand account preview states

Distinguish unavailable account data from synthetic empty, loading and error layouts.

Unavailable does not mean zero

The account preview has no connected account. Balances, margin, positions, history and notification counts therefore remain unavailable.

An unavailable balance must not be read as a zero balance. The interface needs a confirmed account record before it can show either value.

Preview states explain layout behavior

Synthetic empty, loading and error states demonstrate how a page can communicate different conditions. They do not describe a real account and do not prove that account data was requested.

The state label and explanatory copy identify each example. No personal details, money or documents are accepted by these pages.

Positions and history have separate jobs

Positions are intended for current exposure. History is intended for orders, fills and account operations with their time and status. Both need authoritative account records.

History filters remain disabled while there are no confirmed records. Changing a local display preference affects only the rendered preview and is not saved to an account.

  • Read the preview-state label before interpreting a panel.
  • Check whether a value is unavailable or a synthetic empty example.
  • Expect confirmed records to include their own time, identity and status.
