Read the whole context
A price only becomes meaningful when it stays attached to the correct instrument, quotation, interval, source and observation time. Check these fields together whenever they are present.
- Instrument
- The exact symbol and market identity.
- Quotation
- The unit in which a displayed price is expressed.
- Interval
- The time covered by each chart observation.
- Source and time
- Where the observation came from and when it applied.
Understand the labels
Illustrative sample means fixed local data used to explain a view. Unavailable means there is no connected source for that view. Future live or delayed data must be identified with its source and freshness when the market-data integration exists.
The required catalog is broader than the small set of dated chart samples. Inclusion in the catalog does not by itself establish a provider mapping, tradability or current listing.
A quote is not a fill
A displayed quote, a planned order and a confirmed execution are different records. Final spread, commission, financing, market hours, size limits and executable price require the verified contract and execution provider.
